Services

What we offer today.

Three services, all flown in the CAA Open Category with an A2 Certificate of Competency. Every quote is written for your site, so tell us the job and we'll price it.

For homeowners, builders, roofers, landlords

Roof & gutter inspection

A clear look at your roof without ladders, scaffolding or anyone walking on the tiles. Useful before buying, after a storm, when a leak appears, or before a builder quotes for repairs.

What you get

  • High-resolution photos of every roof slope, ridge, valley and chimney
  • Close-ups of gutters, downpipes, flashing and any visible damage
  • Short video of the whole roof
  • Images labelled by location, so you or your builder can find each issue
For estate agents, homeowners, builders

Property photos & video

Aerial photos and video that show a property, its garden or plot, and what's around it. Good for sales listings, a finished build, or a record of a site before work starts.

What you get

  • Edited aerial stills, ready for listings or marketing
  • Short video clips of the property and its setting
  • Agreed angles and heights, planned before the day
  • Files delivered by download link
For churches, parishes, architects

Church & heritage roofs

Older buildings often have high, fragile or complicated roofs that are costly and risky to reach. A drone survey gives you a detailed visual record to support a roof project, a grant application or planning with your architect.

What you get

  • Systematic photos of roofs, towers, parapets, gutters and stonework
  • Close-ups of areas you're already worried about
  • Video overview of the whole building
  • A labelled image set you can share with your architect or surveyor

Inspections with the DJI Matrice 4TD

IP55 means the drone is sealed against dust and protected against jets of water from any direction, so it can keep inspecting in light rain when our other drones are grounded.

Our next aircraft carries a thermal camera, high-zoom 48 MP cameras and a laser rangefinder, in a body that can keep working in light rain. Once it joins the fleet and our training is complete, it will add:

Thermal building inspection

Find heat loss, missing insulation and signs of damp in roofs and walls. Thermal surveys work best on cold, still mornings, so winter is ideal.

Solar panel inspection

Spot faulty cells and hot spots across a whole array in minutes, without anyone going up on the roof.

Mapping and 3D models

Overlapping photos taken from several angles, stitched into scaled maps and 3D models of a site, building or plot.

Measured surveys

Heights, distances and areas taken with the laser rangefinder, to help with planning or quoting work.

Flying in light rain

Its IP55 weather-sealed body can keep working in light rain, so fewer jobs are postponed by a wet forecast. Heavy rain and strong wind still stop all flying.

Before you book.

Weather

Our current drones don't fly in rain, and no drone flies in winds above its limits, so an agreed date sometimes has to move. Once the Matrice 4TD joins the fleet, light rain won't stop most jobs. We'll give you as much notice as we can and rebook at a time that suits you.

Permissions and notice

Some sites need permission first, for example near Southampton or Bournemouth airports. Airport permission needs at least 14 days' notice, so please allow two to three weeks for those jobs.

What a drone survey is

Our inspections give you a clear visual record of what can be seen from the air. They are not a structural survey; if we spot something that needs a closer look, your roofer or surveyor will have the images to work from.

Where we work

Southampton and across Hampshire, Dorset and West Sussex, including Chichester. Further afield? Ask us. See the map below.

Where we work

Based in Southampton, we cover the south coast from Dorchester to Chichester and inland to Winchester. The shaded circles mark the airports, where a job needs airport permission and a little more notice.
